And just like that Yeko is back, this is the first one of the Monito Series where I use gradients, one of my friends from back home StakPortfolio (Jose Quintero) is doing his own series i guess., and he plays with gradients a lot, so I said why not, and this is what I came up with, I am a big fan of Lucha Libre and Blue Demon so that is the reason for this Monito.

El Club America, my favorite soccer team, they are playing the Mexican derby this weeekend against some team no body cares about...
The Monito is not an actual player, I based the look of it in no other than myself haha, dark skin, lame hair, tired eyes, oh well I hope everyone likes it.
The tittle comes from one of their quotes/phrases, Odiame Mas which means Hate me more, there is no middle point with America, you aether Hate them or Love them, so here it is.

The dude is a Hero, I remember hearing about him before I even started learning about him in school, he is a very popular character in Mexico, I wrote "Tierra y Libertad" (land and freedom) at the top because I guess that was one of his sayings.
It took me some time to figure out how to do the bullet belt, but at the end i think it looks pretty decent, one more of the Yeko Monito series

The Latinos in Action (a nonprofit i work for) confeence is coming up in March, a lot of the colleges and universities here in Utah have a chapter of Latinos in Action at their school, and they are all going to be at the conference.
So thats what my post is about today, I woke up at 5:30 AM today i have no clue WHY!, but instead of wasting time laying in bed i started designing the shirts for the Colleges, and this is what i came up with.

As most of you know i do work for Latinos in Action a non-profit organization, well OUR annual conference is coming up in march so I was asked to do a Teaser for the conference, so here it is.

I've been really lazy, the last couple weeks, holidays, work, portfolio, family and all that cool stuff, but I am back.
Yeko Studios is what I would want to call my business when I get to that point, i saw something like this somewhere but I don't remember where, and I thought well that looks easy and cool, so i went at it, i wish i would have picked a different font cos this one is kinda thin, but oh well i think it looks good enough.

I am not gonna lie i got a little lazy today, but here is the design of the day.
This is the design of a taxi from back home, I made something like this along time ago in flash, I just wanted to make it a vector see how it turned out, I could probably just have exported outlines to illustrator but I wanted to re do it all.
